Prospective Students
The primary courses that are relevant to our research interests include the graduate sequences in ECE and CS in
- Computer Architecture: ECE 6100 or CS 6290
- VLSI and Physical Design: ECE 6130
- Operating Systems and Compilers: CS 6241 and CS 6210
Formal skills will include some combination of courses in the areas of algorithms and discrete mathematics, especially graph theory, combinatorics, and discrete optimization.
Special Projects
There are semester project opportunities in
- Many core modeling and simulation
- Power/thermal modeling
- Application development for CUDA and OpenCL
